O desenvolvimento histórico do conceito saúde enquanto campo de intervenção da educação física

Abstract

O fenômeno saúde ultimamente é objeto de vários estudos, na maioria deles o grande foco é a busca por respostas para os problemas na saúde individual e saúde pública. Constantemente quando é mencionado o termo saúde, se tem uma associação direta ou indireta a atividade física, exercício físico, esporte etc. práticas que são pertencentes a área da Educação Física. Essa observação nos levou a uma inquietação que implicou entender esta relação entre a Educação Física e o Tema/Conteúdo Saúde suscitando o seguinte problema: Como a saúde se constitui historicamente objeto de estudo e ensino da Educação Física? Tal problema levou a elaboração dos objetivos a seguir; Geral: Investigar como a saúde se constitui historicamente objeto de estudo e ensino da Educação Física. E os objetivos específicos: Investigar como as influências de outras áreas do conhecimento refletiram na relação saúde/Educação Física. Analisar como o trato pedagógico sobre o conhecimento saúde através da Educação Física pode auxiliar na superação de problemas na saúde pública. Para atingir tais objetivos e responder os meus questionamentos foi utilizada uma metodologia de pesquisa que consistiu em, realizar uma pesquisa de natureza qualitativa, bibliográfica fazendo uma revisão de literatura de autores que tratem do objeto. A partir dos achados, nos documentos estudados foi possível constatar que a saúde tem suas primeiras aproximações com a Educação Física Brasileira, por conta de influências médicas e militares nos setores da Educação e da própria saúde, onde o objetivo era uma educação que militarizasse e disciplinasse o corpo do cidadão Brasileiro, para se ter uma ideia de pátria forte e combatente livre de doenças. Posteriormente esta relação se encurta, porém, com outros objetivos influenciados por outras instituições e áreas do conhecimento como a medicina na perspectiva higienista estabelecendo uma associação da saúde como ausência de doença. ________________________________________________________________________________________ The health phenomenon has lately been the subject of several studies, in most of them the main focus is the search for answers to the problems in individual health and public health. Constantly when the term health is mentioned, there is a direct or indirect association with physical activity, physical exercise, sport, etc. practices that belong to the area of Physical Education. This observation led us to a concern that implied understanding of this relationship between Physical Education and Health Theme / Content, raising the following problem: How is health historically the object of study and teaching of Physical Education? This problem led to the elaboration of the following objectives; General: To investigate how health is historically object of study and teaching of Physical Education. And the specific objectives: To investigate how the influences of other areas of knowledge reflected in the relation between health and Physical Education. To analyze how the pedagogical treatment of health knowledge through Physical Education can help to overcome problems in public health. In order to reach these objectives and to answer my questions, a research methodology was used, which consisted in carrying out a research of a qualitative and bibliographic nature, revising the literature of authors dealing with the object. Based on the findings, in the documents studied it was possible to verify that health has its first approximations with Brazilian Physical Education, due to medical and military influences in the sectors of Education and health itself, where the objective was an education that militarized and disciplined the body of the Brazilian citizen, to have an idea of a strong fatherland and combatant free of diseases. Later, this relationship is shortened, however, with other objectives influenced by other institutions and areas of knowledge such as medicine from a hygienist perspective, establishing an association of health as absence of disease.
