A documentação odontológica sob a ótica da odontologia legal: revisão de literatura

Abstract

A odontologia legal é uma área odontológica que permite ao cirurgião- dentista atuar na área de pericias odontológicas, fazendo a identificação humana através de técnicas que são usadas quando há acidentes com muitos corpos envolvidos, impedindo de realizar o reconhecimento visual, além disso o cirurgião dentista pode atuar também nas perícias e assistências em foro penal, cível, trabalhista e em área administrativa. Existem diversos tipos de identificação humana na odontologia desde o uso de imagem radiográfica ou até mesmo a análise da molécula do ácido desoxirribonucleico viabilizando assim, uma possível necessidade de identificação do paciente. O cirurgião-dentista tem o papel elaborar, preencher e atualizar os prontuários odontológicos, além disso o mesmo deve conservar, como estabelece o código de ética odontológica. Assim, é direito do paciente ter todos os seus arquivos preservados pelo profissional que o atende, o que pode impedir que o profissional seja acionado judicialmente, além de ajudar no processo de identificação humana. Dessa forma o objetivo geral do estudo é revisar a literatura atual a respeito da documentação odontológica a partir das normas e condutas odontolegais. para esse fim, foi realizado uma revisão bibliográfica integrativa, onde os locais de busca foram as bases de dados das bibliotecas: Scientific Eletronic Library online e Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde. Foram utilizados como descritor principal: registros odontológicos e para cruzamento com o descritor principal os seguintes descritores secundários: odontologia legal, documentação, identificação humana. para a seleção do trabalho serão selecionados os seguintes critérios de inclusão os que abordavam a temática com textos em português e inglês, publicados no período de publicados no período de 2014 a 2019. O estudo se justifica relevante por um tema no qual ainda existe falhas dos profissionais sobre o correto preenchimento dos prontuários, sua guarda e conservação, além de proporcionar um maior conhecimento acerca da odontologia legal, disponibilizar um material de estudo objetivo, para acadêmicos da área odontológica e profissionais. Como resultado, foram selecionados 09 artigos e da analise sugeriu duas categorias: aspectos dos prontuários odontológicos na odontologia legal e principais técnicas utilizadas na identificação humana a partir dos documentos odontológicos. A pesquisa mostrou que os cirurgiões dentistas ainda precisam ter atenção na hora do preenchimento e armazenamento dos prontuários, por conta de o mesmo ajudar no processo de identificação humana. Além disso mostrou que a técnica mais utilizada destacada pelos autores foi os arcos dentais, por apresentar uma técnica confiável e apresentar baixo___________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT: The forensic dentistry is a dental field which allows the surgeon to act dentist in the area of dental skills, making the human identification using techniques that are used when there are accidents with many bodies involved, preventing to perform visual recognition also the dentist He can also work in the expertise and assistance in criminal, civil, labor and administrative area.
