Odontologia estética em laminados cerâmicos: revisão de Literatura

Abstract

RESUMO: A crescente procura pelos tratamentos odontológicos estéticos aumenta cada dia mais na sociedade, principalmente, pelo motivo de buscar o sorriso harmônico e bonito. Diante do exposto, o laminado cerâmico teve origem na primeira opção de tratamento dentário para satisfazer as exigências dos pacientes, e assim, proporcionar um sorriso dentro do padrão estético harmônico. Há uma diversidade de tipos de laminados cerâmicos no mercado, mas a indicação depende da individualidade de cada caso, das características do remanescente dentário, condições periodontais e escolha correta do material a ser utilizado, o que irá determinar o melhor prognóstico do tratamento dentário. Desse modo, o presente estudo traz a seguinte questão de investigação: como a literatura tem abordado a utilização dos laminados cerâmicos no quesito estética e mecânica? Dessa maneira, buscou-se no estudo revisar a literatura indexada em meio eletrônico quanto a utilização dos laminados cerâmicos no quesito estética e mecânica. Esse estudo é uma revisão de literatura integrativa em que se realizou buscas de artigos indexados nas bases das bibliotecas: Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde e Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (Lilacs). Como recorte temporal foram utilizado os anos de 2015 a maio de 2020. Os descritores que foram utilizados para a busca dos artigos foram: descritor principal (faceta dentária) e os secundários (dentística, cerâmica, reabilitação bucal e materiais dentários). Como critérios de inclusão: artigos no idioma português e inglês que abordem estudos com seres humanos e foram excluídos artigos com fuga de tema. Portanto, diante do crescente aumento do uso clínico das restaurações cerâmicas, a partir do estudo é possível se ter um arcabouço textual sobre a temática atualizado e mais condensado sobre os avanços da odontologia estética na área do objeto estudado. Após a leitura dos artigos, foram selecionados 14 artigos científicos, destes 57,1% publicados no ano de 2019. Com isso foi possível observar que a literatura afirma e comprova o alto desempenho mecânico das cerâmicas, além de possuir uma alta taxa de sobrevida e estabilidade de cor, sendo indicada desde pacientes com amelogênese imperfeita até para harmonização do sorriso. _______________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT: The growing demand for aesthetic dental treatments increases more and more in society, mainly for the reason of seeking the harmonious and beautiful smile. In view of the above, the ceramic laminate originated from the first dental treatment option to satisfy the requirements of patients, and thus provide a smile within the harmonic aesthetic standard. There are a variety of types of ceramic laminates on the market, but the indication depends on the individuality of each case, the characteristics of the dental remnant, periodontal conditions and the correct choice of material to be used, which will determine the best prognosis for dental treatment. Thus, the present study had the following research question: how has the literature addressed the use of ceramic laminates in terms of aesthetics and mechanics? Thus, the study sought to review the literature indexed in electronic media regarding the use of ceramic laminates in terms of aesthetics and mechanics. This study is a review of integrative literature in which searches for articles indexed in the bases of libraries were carried out: Virtual Health Library and Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (Lilacs). The years 2015 to May 2020 were used as a time frame. The descriptors that were used to search for the articles were: main descriptor (dental facet) and secondary ones (dentistry, ceramics, oral rehabilitation and dental materials). As inclusion criteria: articles in Portuguese and English that address studies with human beings and articles with a different theme were excluded. Therefore, in view of the growing increase in the clinical use of ceramic restorations, from the study it is possible to have a textual framework on the updated and more condensed theme on the advances in aesthetic dentistry in the area of the object studied. After reading the articles, 14 scientific articles were selected, of which 57.1% were published in 2019. Thus, it was possible to observe that the literature affirms and proves the high mechanical performance of ceramics, in addition to having a high survival rate and color stability, being indicated from patients with imperfect amelogenesis to smile harmonization.
