Racismo e prática docente no contexto da educação infantil: uma revisão de literatura integrativa

Abstract

RESUMO: Racismo em si, é a ideia ou suposição de que as diferentes características biológicas entre os indivíduos estão associadas à inferioridade de um determinado grupo. Esta suposição faz com que indivíduos sejam classificados a partir da raça a que fazem parte, traçando assim concepções que interferem de modo decisivo em todas as dimensões de sua vida. A Educação tem a função de socializar os indivíduos, imprimindo cultura e valores morais, sendo de fundamental importância a ação da Educação no repúdio a qualquer discriminação, seja por raça, etnia, classe social, gênero ou religião. Nesse sentido, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo geral, compreender, a partir de literatura científica disponível, como o debate sobre o racismo está inserido na prática docente da educação infantil. E traz como objetivos específicos: identificar a concepção de racismo apresentado no material selecionado; discutir a possibilidade de combate ao racismo na Educação Infantil no material selecionado; caracterizar a prática docente na Educação Infantil descrita nos trabalhos. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de revisão bibliográfica, do tipo integrativa, realizada nas bases de dados Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Google Acadêmico e Portal de Periódicos Capes. O corpus da pesquisa é constituído por 11 documentos, para a seleção do material utilizou-se uma busca booleana com as palavras-chave, “Racismo”, “Discriminação racial” e “Raça”, combinada com o operador AND e o termo “Educação Infantil”. Os critérios de inclusão foram: artigos completos, disponíveis online, em língua portuguesa, publicados entre os anos de 2015 a 2019. Após criteriosa leitura, os dados foram organizados nestas três categorias: As concepções sobre Racismo; Possibilidades de combate ao Racismo na Educação Infantil e Racismo e Prática Docente na Educação Infantil. Após análise e discussão dos dados obtidos, foi possível inferir que ainda existe uma carência muito grande de publicações que discutam a questão do Racismo na Educação Infantil, o que dificulta gerar novas formas de se combater o racismo nessa esfera e a mudança na prática docente. O racismo é um tema urgente e necessário na agenda da Educação Infantil, precisa ser discutido e combatido nessa esfera da educação pela sua repercussão no espaço social e familiar. Uma educação que traz a pauta racial, tratada de forma séria e coerente, configura-se como uma grande chave de mudança na vida dos indivíduos e da sociedade de um modo geral. ________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT: Racism itself is the idea or assumption that the different biological characteristics between individuals are associated with the inferiority of a certain group. This assumption causes individuals to be classified according to the race to which they belong, thus outlining concepts that decisively interfere in all dimensions of their life. Education has the function of socializing individuals, imprinting culture and moral values, being of fundamental importance the action of education in repudiating any discrimination, whether by race, ethnicity, social class, gender or religion. In this sense, the present work has the general objective of understanding, based on available scientific literature, how the debate on racism is inserted in the teaching practice of early childhood education. And it has as specific objectives, identify the concept of racism presented in the selected material; discussed the possibility of combating racism in early childhood education in the selected material; characterize the teaching practice in early childhood education described in the works. This is a bibliographic review research, integrative type, carried out in the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) databases, Google Scholar and Portal of Journals Capes. The research corpus consists of 11 documents, for the selection of the material a Boolean search was used with the keywords, “Racism”, “Racial discrimination” and “Race”, combined with the AND operator and the term “Early Childhood Education”. Inclusion criteria were: complete articles, available online, in Portuguese published between the years 2015 to 2019. After careful reading, the data were organized into these three categories: Conceptions about Racism; Possibilities to combat Racism in Early Childhood Education and Racism and Teaching Practice in Early Childhood Education. After analyzing and discussing the data obtained, it was possible to infer that there is still a great lack of publications that discuss the issue of Racism in Early Childhood Education, which makes it difficult to generate new ways to combat racism in this sphere and change in teaching practice. Racism is an urgent and necessary topic on the Early Childhood Education schedule, needs to be discussed and fought in this sphere of education for its repercussion in the social and family space. An Education that brings the racial schedule, treated in a serious and consistent manner, is configured as a major key to change in the lives of individuals and society in general.
