Radioproteção: um olhar na saúde do profissional

Abstract

RESUMO: A radiação X foi descoberta no dia 8 de novembro de 1895, na cidade de Wüsburg, Alemanha, pelo cientista alemão Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen, essa descoberta deflagrou uma série de experimentos para avaliar suas características e potencialidades de aplicação em vários ramos de atividades. O campo onde mais se encontraram aplicações foi o da medicina, na área de diagnóstico por imagem. A partir do uso médico, a descoberta se espalhou rapidamente pelo mundo, e os efeitos nocivos da radiação sobre seres vivos também foram sendo descobertos. Diante disso é possível afirmar que a descoberta trazia consigo não só benefícios, mas também perigos intrínsecos e desconhecidos no momento de sua incorporação às práticas sociais. Nessa perspectiva, o objetivo geral deste estudo é verificar através das bases de dados indexadas as condutas preventivas do técnico/tecnólogo em radiologia frente à proteção radiológica. Assim identificando na literatura o conhecimento desses profissionais acerca da radioproteção e legislação, trazendo os principais procedimentos de segurança radiológica segundo a portaria 453 de junho de 1998 do ministério da saúde. O estudo aborda uma revisão de literatura sistemática, realizada na base de dados eletrônico BVS e Scielo com os seguintes descritores: proteção radiológica, radiação ionizante, riscos ocupacionais, tecnologia radiológica e saúde do trabalhador. O recorte temporal é referente ao período de 2014 a 2019. Como critérios de inclusão: artigos completos em português, espanhol e inglês. Espera-se que os profissionais que trabalham diretamente com a radiação ionizante tenham a conscientização dos efeitos nocivos que podem ser adquiridos ao longo do tempo diante a exposição sem os cuidados necessários. É de extrema importância que seu uso seja racional e controlado para melhor qualidade de serviço. ________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT: X-radiation was discovered on November 8, 1895, in the city of Wüsburg, Germany, by the German scientist Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen. The field where most applications were found was that of medicine, in the area of diagnostic imaging. From medical use, the discovery spread rapidly around the world, and the harmful effects of radiation on living beings were also being discovered. Given this, it is possible to affirm that the discovery brought not only benefits, but also intrinsic and unknown dangers at the time of its incorporation into social practices. In this perspective, the general objective of this study is to verify through the indexed databases the preventive conduct of the technician / technologist in radiology in relation to radiological protection. Thus identifying in the literature the knowledge of these professionals about radioprotection and legislation, bringing the main radiological safety procedures according to ordinance 453 of June 1998 from the Ministry of Health. The study addresses a systematic literature review, carried out in the electronic database VHL and SciELO with the following descriptors: radiological protection, ionizing radiation, occupational risks, radiological technology and worker health. The time frame refers to the period from 2014 to 2019. As inclusion criteria: full articles in Portuguese, Spanish and English. It is expected that professionals who work directly with ionizing radiation are aware of the harmful effects that can be acquired over time in the face of exposure without the necessary care. It is extremely important that its use is rational and controlled for better quality of service.
