Os benefícios da distribuição de medicamentos por dose unitária no âmbito hospitalar

Abstract

O Sistema de Distribuição de Medicamentos por Dose Unitária (SDMDU) é o sistema de distribuição mais eficaz para o suprimento de necessidades medicamentosas no âmbito hospitalar. Esse sistema promove maior segurança, eficácia, redução de gastos, comodidade, para enfermeiros, técnicos em enfermagem, farmacêuticos, instituição de saúde e pacientes que são os maiores beneficiados. A farmácia hospitalar é responsável pelo armazenamento, distribuição, dispensação e controle de todos os medicamentos e materiais de saúde não só para pacientes internados como também ambulatoriais do hospital. Além de prover e garantir de forma segura e uso racional de medicamentos. Este trabalho foi conduzido em uma instituição de saúde filantrópica, numa cidade do interior da Bahia. Foi identificado o tipo de sistema de distribuição de medicamentos atuante nesse hospital, quais benefícios uma possível implantação do SDMDU poderia trazer para a instituição, aplicando um questionário aos profissionais envolvidos no processo, obtendo então resultados satisfatórios para o andamento da pesquisa. Considerando os benefícios da Distribuição de Medicamentos por Dose Unitária para o paciente e para a instituição hospitalar, será considerada a implantação do mecanismo de distribuição unificada da dose em hospitais, visando a redução dos erros de administração de medicamentos e diminuição dos custos, assegurando eficazmente o tratamento do paciente. ____________________________________________________________________________________ The Unit Dose Medication Distribution System (SDMDU) is the most effective distribution system for meeting the need for medication in the hospital environment. Analyzing the benefits of the Distribution of Medicines per Unit Dose for the patient and for the hospital institution, will be considered an implantation of the mechanism of unified dose distribution in hospitals, reducing the reduction of medication administration errors and cost reduction, effectively ensuring the patient treatment.
