Uso do brinquedo terapêutico na oncologia infantil: percepção da equipe de enfermagem

Abstract

O câncer infantil geralmente corresponde a disseminação de células anormais de maneira descontrolada. A hospitalização de uma criança é um evento que causa preocupação e ansiedade na criança e em sua família, podendo desencadear traumas. Para minimizar os danos do processo de hospitalização é obrigatória a instalação de brinquedotecas nas unidades de saúde que ofereçam atendimento pediátrico em regime de internação. O brinquedo terapêutico pode ser utilizado para dramatizar a situação e os conflitos que a criança vive, promover alívio e possibilitar que a criança explique seus conflitos. E como objetivo geral: Analisar na literatura percepção da equipe de enfermagem frente ao uso do brinquedo terapêutico no contexto da oncologia infantil. Tratou-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica integrativa, que foi realizada nas bibliotecas virtuais SciELO, Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde e Google Acadêmico e teve como recorte temporal janeiro de 2016 a julho de 2021, usando os descritores Brinquedo Terapêutico, Oncologia Infantil, Enfermagem. A partir das buscas nas bases foram encontrados 1.863 artigos, dos quais foram examinados 19 e ao utilizar os critérios de inclusão que foram: temática, língua portuguesa, indexados nas bases de dados selecionadas com publicação entre os anos de janeiro de 2016 a julho de 2021 e apresentando resumos integrais e de exclusão (os artigos que não atenderam aos propósitos da pesquisa e com temáticas duplicadas), restaram 09 artigos para fazer parte da pesquisa. A análise de dados foi realizada com particularidades específicas de cada artigo (Periódico, Ano e objetivo), gerando três categorias: o olhar da equipe de enfermagem frente ao uso do brinquedo terapêutico no contexto oncológico; estratégias utilizadas pela equipe de enfermagem para utilização do brinquedo terapêutico limitações e benefícios da utilização do brinquedo terapêutico no contexto oncológico. Verificou se que mediante análise dos artigos selecionados e dos estudos os recorrentes, ser essencial que toda a equipe de enfermagem esteja ciente dos benefícios que o BT como estratégia pode trazer não só a criança com câncer, mas a todos de modo geral, pois ameniza o fardo de estresse trazido pela doença e hospitalização, além de facilitar a aproximação do enfermeiro à criança. Percebeu-se também que a maior estratégia da equipe de enfermagem está na utilização do BT de modo integral, fazendo com que as intervenções minimizam o sofrimento físico e psicológico que essas crianças enfrentam. _______________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT Childhood cancer usually corresponds to the spread of abnormal cells in an uncontrolled manner. The hospitalization of a child is an event that causes concern and anxiety in the child and his family, which can trigger trauma. In order to minimize the damage caused by the hospitalization process, it is mandatory to install toy libraries in health facilities that offer pediatric inpatient care. Therapeutic toy can be used to dramatize the child's situation and conflicts, promote relief and enable the child to explain their conflicts. And as a general objective: To analyze the perception of the nursing staff regarding the use of therapeutic toys in the context of childhood oncology. It was an integrative bibliographic research, which was carried out in the virtual libraries SciELO, Virtual Health Library and Academic Google and had as a time frame from January 2016 to July 2021, using the descriptors Therapeutic Toy, Child Oncology, Nursing. From the searches in the databases, 1,863 articles were found, of which 19 were examined and using the inclusion criteria that were: thematic, Portuguese language, indexed in the selected databases, published between the years of January 2016 to July 2021 and presenting full and exclusionary summaries (articles that did not meet the research purposes and with duplicate themes), there were 09 articles left to be part of the research. Data analysis was carried out with specific particularities of each article (Journal, Year and objective), generating three categories: the perspective of the nursing team regarding the use of therapeutic toys in the oncology context; strategies used by the nursing team for the use of therapeutic toys limitations and benefits of using therapeutic toys in the oncology context. It was found that by analyzing the selected articles and the recurrent studies, it is essential that the entire nursing team is aware of the benefits that TP as a strategy can bring not only to children with cancer, but to everyone in general, as it alleviates the burden of stress brought on by the disease and hospitalization, in addition to facilitating the nurse's approach to the child. It was also noticed that the greatest strategy of the nursing team is to use TP in its entirety, making interventions minimize the physical and psychological suffering that these children face.
