Desafios apresentados pelas puérperas no processo do aleitamento materno exclusivo e as contribuições da enfermagem: revisão integrativa

Abstract

O leite materno exclusivo até aos seis meses de vida auxilia no crescimento e desenvolvimento do bebê além de proporcionar um vínculo maior com a mãe. Fonte de nutrientes e proteção, previne a diarreia, infecções respiratórias, desnutrição reduzindo a morbimortalidade infantil. Entretanto, é fundamental que os profissionais de enfermagem ofereçam uma assistência diferenciada frente a esse contexto que depende de inúmeros fatores históricos, sociais, culturais e psicológicos das mulheres que estão amamentando. Dessa forma, o estudo teve como objetivo geral: conhecer através da literatura indexada, os desafios apresentados pelas puérperas no processo do aleitamento materno exclusivo e quais as contribuições da enfermagem. Este estudo foi realizado, através da revisão integrativa, pesquisas dos artigos publicados no banco de dados do Portal Regional da BVS, com recorte temporal dos últimos cinco anos, correspondente ao período de 2017 a 2022. Os artigos selecionados foram os de língua portuguesa, textos completos, disponíveis gratuitamente. A coleta de dados iniciou em agosto de 2022 até setembro de 2022. Foram utilizados os descritores: aleitamento materno exclusivo; desmame e assistência de enfermagem. Deste modo, foram selecionados 12 artigos. Com os achados foi possível entender que o leite materno exclusivo contribui positivamente para o crescimento e desenvolvimento da criança, além de apresentar benefícios na saúde mental, física e psíquica do bebê e da mulher que amamenta. Alguns fatores relacionados ao desmame precoce destacados foram a falta de orientação e conhecimento, classe socioeconômica, cultura, mitos e crenças, influência familiar, lesões mamárias, analfabetismo, os quais possibilitam que as mulheres comecem a introduzir os alimentos precocemente, expondo seus filhos a doenças evitáveis como problemas intestinais, muitas não reconhecem o sentindo o leite materno na vida do seu bebê, assim como não sabem o quanto o ato de amamentar ajudar na prevenção contra o câncer do colo do útero entre outros, desta feita o papel do enfermeiro se torna crucial na relação ao aleitamento materno, na promoção e prevenção estimulando a amamentação desde o pré natal, além da ausência de inventivo e apoio por parte dos gestores da saúde. Por fim, destaca se como essencial o papel do enfermeiro frente ao aleitamento materno e a sua atuação perante os desafios que corroboram ao desmame precoce, reforçando a necessidade do apoio através dos incentivos e suporte que os enfermeiros precisam para que eles possam retribuir através da prestação de uma assistência com mais qualidade e humanizada, reafirmando a importância da educação e do conhecimento técnico e científico. ________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT Exclusive breast milk up to six months of life helps in the growth and development of the baby, in addition to providing a greater bond with the mother. Source of nutrients and protection, prevents diarrhea, respiratory infections, malnutrition, reducing child morbidity and mortality. However, it is essential that nursing professionals offer differentiated assistance in this context, which depends on numerous historical, social, cultural and psychological factors of women who are breastfeeding. Thus, the general objective of the study was: to know, through the indexed literature, the challenges presented by puerperal women in the process of exclusive breastfeeding and what are the contributions of nursing. This study was carried out, through integrative review, research of articles published in the database of the Regional Portal of the VHL, with a temporal cut of the last five years, corresponding to the period from 2017 to 2022. The selected articles were those in Portuguese, texts complete, available free of charge. Data collection started in August 2022 until September 2022. The descriptors were used: exclusive breastfeeding; weaning and nursing care. Thus, 12 articles were selected. With the findings, it was possible to understand that exclusive breast milk contributes positively to the growth and development of the child, in addition to presenting benefits in the mental, physical and psychological health of the baby and the woman who breastfeeds. Some factors related to early weaning highlighted were lack of guidance and knowledge, socioeconomic class, culture, myths and beliefs, family influence, breast lesions, illiteracy, which allow women to start introducing foods early, exposing their children to diseases such as intestinal problems, many do not recognize the feeling of breast milk in their baby's life, just as they do not know how much the act of breastfeeding helps in the prevention of cervical cancer, among others, this time the role of the nurse becomes crucial in relation to breastfeeding, in the promotion and prevention, encouraging breastfeeding from prenatal care, in addition to the lack of inventiveness and support on the part of health managers. Finally, the role of nurses in relation to breastfeeding and their performance in the face of challenges that corroborate early weaning is highlighted as essential, reinforcing the need for support through the incentives and support that nurses need so that they can reciprocate through the provision of more quality and humanized assistance, reaffirming the importance of education and technical and scientific knowledge.
