A influência da mídia na automedicação durante a pandemia de COVID-19

Abstract

Em meio a sociedade atual onde a automedicação é um fator predominante e cuja prática é muito comum, torna-se muito preocupante quando se avalia o emprego desta no momento pandêmico no contexto da COVID-19. Durante a pandemia, houve a procura obsessiva por fórmulas milagrosas que prevenisse ou curasse a COVID-19, falou-se muito em “tratamento precoce” ou “kit-covid”, induzindo a automedicação desprovida de segurança. A utilização de maneira indiscriminada dos medicamentos interfere diretamente na elevada possibilidade de interações medicamentosas, reações adversas e toxicidade. Mediante à grande relevância da automedicação no contexto pandêmico, justifica-se a necessidade de estudar os pontos mais pertinentes quanto aos quesitos que levaram à elevação desse feito, uma vez que consiste em ser um problema de saúde pública a nível mundial. Sendo assim, este estudo tem por objetivo geral investigar o aumento da automedicação durante o período pandêmico por influência das mídias sociais, e como objetivos específicos: verificar a influência da mídia para essa pratica, observar as classes farmacológicas mais utilizadas e analisar os principais fatores que levaram a automedicação. pesquisa consiste em um estudo descritivo com abordagem quantiqualitativa, em municípios do Recôncavo da Bahia. A pesquisa de campo irá possibilitar analisar as respostas dos participantes do estudo, comparando com dados da literatura. A escolha pela pesquisa quantiqualitativa se deu de forma a compreender de que modo essa influência da mídia mudou o comportamento da população durante a pandemia de COVID-19 frente à automedicação. A pesquisa será realizada com a população maior de 18 anos, onde a amostra será definida em campo através da técnica de bola de neve (snowballsampling). Essa técnica snowballsampling, é mais popularmente conhecida como bola de neve e consiste em que novos participantes com os requisitos básicos da pesquisa sejam convidados pelos integrantes iniciais, ou seja, os que foram escolhidos pelo pesquisador. Para o alcance da população geral e início da investigação, o pesquisador entrará em contato com 5 pessoas de cada município supra citado, informando o objetivo da pesquisa e explicando como se dará a coleta de dados, salientando a confiabilidade das informações prestadas, diante disso, será firmado um total de 25 pessoas de diferentes municípios denominadas sementes, após o preenchimento do questionário estas pessoas indicarão os demais participantes do estudo. During the pandemic, there was an obsessive search for miraculous formulas that could prevent or cure COVID-19, there was much talk of “early treatment” or “covid-kit”, inducing unsafe self-medication. The indiscriminate use of drugs directly interferes with the high possibility of drug interactions, adverse reactions and toxicity. Due to the great relevance of self medication in the pandemic context, the need to study the most pertinent points regarding the questions that led to the elevation of this feat is justified, since it consists of being a public health problem worldwide. Therefore, this study has the general objective of investigating the increase in self-medication during the pandemic period due to the influence of social media, and as specific objectives: to verify the influence of the media on this practice, to observe the most used pharmacological classes and to analyze the main factors that led to self-medication. research consists of a descriptive study with a quantitative and qualitative approach, in municipalities in the Recôncavo da Bahia. The field research will make it possible to analyze the responses of the study participants, comparing them with data from the literature. The choice for quantitative and qualitative research was made in order to understand how this influence of the media changed the behavior of the population during the COVID-19 pandemic regarding self-medication. The survey will be carried out with the population over 18 years old, where the sample will be defined in the field through the snowball technique (snowballsampling). This snowballsampling technique, more popularly known as snowballing, consists of inviting new participants with the basic research requirements by the initial members, that is, those chosen by the researcher. In order to reach the general population and start the investigation, the researcher will contact 5 people from each municipality mentioned above, informing the objective of the research and explaining how the data will be collected, emphasizing the reliability of the information provided, in view of this, a total of 25 people from different municipalities called seeds will be signed, after completing the questionnaire these people will indicate the other participants of the study.
